Place: Bukoba Tanzania (near border with Uganda)

Studies:
1954 – 1960 Primary education: `Katoma my home village
1961 – 1966: Secondary School Education: Rubya Seminary in Bukoba
1967 – 1968: Philosophy: Ntungamo Senior Seminary, Bukoba
1968 – 1972: Theology: Urban University, Rome – Vatican got BA and MA in Theology (STL); and Diploma in African Studies.
1985 – 1990: History of the church at Gregorian University Rome and got MA (HEL) and doctorate (PhD)

Languages:
Swahili and Kihaya (Home languages)
Certificate in English – University of Cambridge 1966
Certificate in Italian – University of Perugia 1968
Certificate in French – University of Paris 1970
Certificate in German – Goethe Institute Rome 1971
Have also studied Latin, Greek and Hebrew

Work experience:

1972 – 1978: Pastoral work in rural areas
1978 – 1985: Lecturer at Ntungamo Senior Seminary (History)
1991 – 2000: Secretary General of the Tanzania Episcopal Conference (Catholic Church in Tanzania)
2000 – to date: Auxiliary Bishop of Dar es Salaam.
