After the South Asia Ethics Education workshop held in Coimbatore in 2006, Karthikeyan initiated a project for the promotion and protection of children rights in schools.  He has visited many schools and spoken to hundreds of children about the importance of learning about their rights and how they can help fostering a culture of respect for the dignity of other children in India.

GNRC members in Israel arranged an interfaith learning and peace building program for Jewish, Christian and Muslim youth in Israel in July 2007. The Toolkit for Ethics Education through Interfaith Learning was used to design the program.  The full report of the week long program gives an account of the planning process and the implementation of the program without discarding difficulties and lessons learned in arranging the programs. Ten years after the initiation of the Arigatou International ethics education initiative, an International Seminar was arranged to celebrate the achievments and thank all involed but also to solicit input for the direction and strategies for the next decade of ethics education for children from an interfaith perspective 

Two Arigatou International trained trainers introduced the ethics education program and Learing to Live Together at an International Seminar for teachers and trainers in Athens in April.


The study team of the Joint GNRC - UNICEF Study met in Florence 15 - 18 October for its Second Meeting at the UNICEF Innocenti Research Center

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has assured Rev. Keishi Miyamoto and a high-level GNRC delegation of his support for stronger ties between the GNRC and the United Nations and its agencies, in particular UNICEF and UNESCO.

An Ethics Education Workshop using the Learning to Live Together  (LTLT) Manual was organized for the first time on 22th October, 2011 in Chennai , India, by Navadisha Montessori School. A new training for Educators on 'Learning to Live Together (LTLT)' was organized by  Interkulturelles  Zentrum  (www.iz.or.at) in Vienna, Austria, on 11th October 2011. The workshop, entitled “Werte in einer globalisierten Welt” (“Values in a globalised world”)  was carried out by trainer Rebecca Zeilinger from NGO Interkulturelles  Zentrum within the framework of a micro project called “Schule Global”, financed by the Austrian Development Agency.
